Little Story Lab is a special storytime in Apex, NC. Each 2-hour session combines interesting picture books with hands-on crafts, science, and other activities designed for 4- to 6-year-olds.

Little Story Lab is separate from the Strong Foundations Kindergarten Partnership classes. Children do not need to be enrolled in the kindergarten program to participate. These themed sessions are a fun way to add a little extra enrichment and literary whimsy to your child’s week.

We’ll read stories connected to the session’s theme.

Hands-On Activities

Children will create, explore, experiment, and make something to take home.

Learning Through Play

Activities may include simple science experiments, sensory activities, games, crafts, and early learning activities.

Whooo is awake when everyone else is asleep? We’ll investigate the secret lives of owls and discover how these amazing birds see, hear, fly, and hunt at night through stories, hands-on exploration, science, and owl-themed fun!

Batty for Books

We’ll explore:

Who comes out when the sun goes down? We’ll discover the fascinating world of bats and learn how these nighttime flyers see, hear, navigate, and find their food. Through stories, hands-on exploration, science, and bat-themed fun, children will uncover some of the amazing things that make bats special.

Not So Scary Halloween

We’ll explore:

What happens when silly witches, pumpkins, and a little Halloween magic come together? We’ll stir up some spooky-but-not-scary fun. Children will explore Halloween through stories, science, and hands-on activities!

A Separate Program from Strong Foundations Partnership

Little Story Lab is a separate enrichment program from Strong Foundations Homeschool Partnership’s Kindergarten classes. Children do not need to be enrolled in the kindergarten program to participate.

Little Story Lab is designed for preschool and kindergarten-aged children and can be enjoyed as an individual themed session or as part of your child’s regular homeschool enrichment routine.

    Is Little Story Lab a drop-off program?

    Yes! Little Story Lab is a drop-off program, giving children a fun, engaging two-hour experience while parents have some time to themselves.

    You might run a few errands, catch up on work at a local coffee shop, meet a friend for a relaxed lunch, or enjoy a quiet moment to yourself. There are several coffee shops and cafes just minutes away.

    Is registration limited?

    In accordance with local home business laws, registration is capped at 5 children per session.

    Do you ever host private events?
